旋切机用来将木段旋切成单板。旋切的一般方法是:左右卡轴夹紧木段两端并带动其旋转,安装在刀床上的旋刀刀刃平行于卡轴轴线并沿其垂直方向做进给运动,沿木段年轮方向旋切出等厚的单板。
